So today was our first whole day in Russia!
I got up at 730 (russian time) and took a shower (in the worlds smallest bathroom) and then got to go give some blood before I ate. Luckily I have pretty good veins so the nurse was easily able to get the needle in. They took about 300mLs in 2 minutes. They used a syringe and sucked it out, not how they do when you give blood in the US. When they were done none of the veins in my left arm stuck out anymore!
So then they let me eat some GOOOOOD breakfast! Very Russian food, but very good. With a little food in my system we went over to the main part of the hospital (which is MASSIVE) and got some X-rays of my legs. Then we ventured deeper where put a bunch of pieces of metal on my head for some sort of brain activity (I know, I know, there is no activity) scan. Then they ultrasounded to check out my heart. That was pretty quick.
We came back to the room and my internet was working (the little Russian girl who was working on it was a cutie haha)! YES! Ate some lunch and then talked to the doctor for awhile. Well mostly Mom and Grandma because I understand about 5 words in Russian.
So I played on my computer for awhile then it died so I had to charge it for awhile… I dont think Russian electricity works near as fast as American because my computer is going to die soon again, definetly didnt get a full charge. Thats about it for today, pretty uneventful, but like they said the whole first week is mostly tests.

PS. I put up some new pictures on my Russia Webshots page (click here), just of our apartment, dinner, and the worlds smallest bathroom
; so people can see where/how we’re living, etc.
