FIRST INJECTION!

When I type these I normally start it and then finish it later in the day. Just to let everyone know!

Let me see… I’ve been showering at night here, it’s great because I get to sleep in more in the morning! I was able to get up around eight today since I took a shower last night so that was pretty nice (but will never happen at home!). I read all the comments on the blog and checked my email and that sort of stuff. Breakfast came around nine, but I didn’t get to eat very much because I had some brain wave test at 915. They put all these electrode things on my head and Mom, who can never resist a time to make fun of me, says, “Jeff, you look like one of those chimpanzees that they do experiments on.” Thanks Mom! J

One our way back Dimitri found us so I went down to do my therapy around 1015. We did some more new and interesting things. If you watched the videos I had post earlier and remember the Pull to Stand?… Well I did it with ONE arm. I was able to get ten with each arm, but definitely one of the hardest things I have done here. I think Dimitri might be crazy… but I think I’m crazier! Haha

I just got back to the room and lunch should be coming soon. I’m actually eating some of that wonderful (it really is wonderful, I’m not being sarcastic!) white bread while I type this! Oh I should be getting my first stem cell injection in a few hours! So… To be continued…

Alright so it’s 1130 and this internet connection (if you even want to call it internet) is not working again! I’m typing it in Word so that I’ll just have to post it after midnight, since I’ll be awake anyway!

So I ate some lunch and then Mom and I went outside for about ten minutes, for a little walk. Then we came back and Jenya (spelled wrong probably) was waiting on us to give me a quick massage before the stem cells. As soon as he was done they came to get me for the injection. So I’m sitting on my bed changing with the door closed and someone starts to open it and come in and I said, “NO, I’m changing.” They obviously don’t understand English so I pointed to the door and said, “GET OUT!” They don’t knock and that really gets me fired up! Haha

I got all changed and got on the gurney and they wheeled me down. I got the injection and came back and had to lay for six hours. Laying for six hours is definitely not fun for me, I like to be up and doing something! I drank the 1 ½ liters they told me to drink so I don’t get a headache and I suppose it worked… I don’t have a headache yet.

We talked to the Americans for awhile after I got out of bed, that was nice hearing our own language for awhile!

That’s about all I have. I’m not tired at all because I slept for several hours while I had to lay down, so it looks like a late night again! Oh well, the night is better than the morning! J

Have a good day!
